  • Opted into Steam client beta?: Yes I use snap version in Ubuntu
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
  • Steam Logs: [generate by running this command in a terminal tar -zcvf ~/Desktop/steam-logs.tar.gz ~/.steam/steam/logs]
  • GPU: Nvidia

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. sudo apt install steam-devices
  2. sudo apt install libhidapi-hidraw0 libhidapi-libusb0
  3. copy all rules https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-devices/blob/master/60-steam-input.rules
    in /etc/udev/rules.d/
  4. Restart Steam
  5. Restart PC
  6. Try to add SteamController 2026 in steam, but nothing.

UPDATED: With the DEB version, it recognized it without any problems.

WITH SNAP-version there are always problems,
