Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
When I use remote play to stream a game (I've tried multiple games) from a Steam Deck to a Windows 11 PC running Steam (for the purpose of recording gameplay), all audio is disabled on the Steam Deck (Host) despite having toggled the "Play audio on host" setting on the PC (Client). Audio plays on the PC as expected, but playing on the Steam Deck while tapped into audio coming out of the PC is a miserable experience because it doesn't perfectly sync up with what you're seeing on the Steam Deck screen.
I have tried with and without the "Play audio on host" setting; with and without the Steam client beta; with and without the Steam OS beta; and even manually installing "SteamStreamingSpeakers.inf" + "SteamStreamingMicrophone.sys" on the PC.
Since the Steam Deck is the device not outputting audio when it's supposed to, I'm inclined to believe this is either a problem with Remote Play (the software), the Steam Deck, or an interaction between the two.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Update steam on both the PC and Steam Deck
Enable "Play audio on host" Remote Play setting on the PC
Launch any game on the Steam Deck
Use the "Connect" button on the PC to start Remote Play with the Steam Deck
Remote play launches on the PC, showing a live feed of the game being played on the Steam Deck, including audio, but the Steam Deck audio is cut off completely.
