Steam Game Mode supports multiple saved Steam accounts, which is useful on shared living-room/handheld devices. However, any saved account can currently be selected from the account picker by anyone with physical access, rendering parental controls on child accounts borderline useless.
Requested behavior:
Allow users to require a PIN/password/Steam Guard confirmation before switching into saved accounts.
Example:
Kid account remains selectable without PIN
Adult account appears in account picker but requires a form of authentication mentioned above before login
Why this matters:
The existing device lock PIN is too broad because it blocks the whole device. Removing the adult account from the picker works but is clunky. A per-account optional lock would make Steam Game Mode behave more like a family console profile system.
