I disagree, the issue that I bring forward is tied to the ability for the controller to reconnect to SteamOS after being disconnected.
I tried the following, see if this would help, and it did not change anything:
/etc/bluetooth/main.conf : ControllerMode = le/etc/bluetooth/main.conf with Privacy = off and AddressResolution = falseOnce the controller is disconnected, it never reconnects
Same problem on Asus ROG Xbox Ally X
I reinstalled SteamOS 3.8.14 and while improving the stabilty, apps would not relaunch after exiting properly, it also solved the Steam controller not reconnecting issue.
I made a clone of the drive before wiping it, so if you need files from both intalls, I can provide for your troubleshooting.

This is solely regarding the 2026 Steam Controller:
Push B + RB + Steam button on Steam Controller to enable bluetooth pairing
Controller chimes and double blinks blue
pairs easily with LegionGo 2
after the controller is being turned off, it never reconnects once turned on
need to delete the bluetooth controller
need to re-pair
each time
No issues with the reconnecting of a Sony DualSense controller (however no wake from sleep)
