Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen.
During initial set up of my Steam Maxine, my Steam Controller (purchased separately so not factory paired to the Machine) was connected successfully but no button presses did anything until I used another (non-Steam) Bluetooth controller to configure WiFi and accept the software update. It worked normally after the initial update. If I turned off the Controller and turned it back on, inputs would work for a second or two then stop again.
Plugging the Controller directly to the Machine via USB cable did not help
Steps for reproducing this issue:
I did not try to reproduce, but the issue would be obvious if encountered during setup. I can do tests if needed but I'd rather not have to reset/wipe my Machine just to repro this...
