After selecting install it proceded normally, but it does not download and when i select play it gives the "missing executable" error. I get the same error with bastion, but bastion is not available in the store yet, but it is visible in my library under linux.

This issue also affects me. I purchased Anomaly: Warzone Earth, and later went into my library to install it. The installation completed instantaneously, so apparently nothing was actually downloaded, and when I launch the game, it says "Failed to start game (missing executable)." I'll attach my system information and stdout/stderr log.

This is a duplicate of #28.

Kkerrickstaley 2013-02-07 github

They're slightly different: #28 is about games like Bastion, which aren't listed as being available for Linux; this bug is about Anomaly: Warzone Earth, which is supposedly available for Linux.

The behavior is exactly the same, though: both Bastion and Anomaly appear under "Linux Games" in the library, and both fail to install properly.

This is different than #28 because it is listed in the Linux tab.
Thanks for the information, it looks like a store configuration. I'll look into it today.

Update: I contacted 11bitstudios. And they're investigating now:

@swordfischer thanks for the info. Also, no offence, "I am on Linux" was a pretty funny response. :P

Sswordfischer 2013-02-08 github

Alright, it downloads data now, I'll just confirm whether it works or not.

Ddanielmmy 2013-02-08 github

awesome! As soon as I get home I'll try it again

Sswordfischer 2013-02-08 github

Yeah, currently they're missing the libsteam_api.so file, and I've notified them about this.

Sswordfischer 2013-02-08 github

@danielmmy They have just fixed this, and it now launched. Remember to close the case if the issue is resolved, ;) (You might have to restart your Steam client before downloading the game.)

Ddanielmmy 2013-02-08 github

Ok, I'll try it out as soon as I get home. If someone else could confirm that it is solved I will close the case.

Ddanielmmy 2013-02-08 github

I'm installing anomaly just fine and I checked the steam for linux community and the install problem is over. I'll close the issue report now. Thanks for everyone that helped solve this issue.
