After the most recent update to the Steam Client, Steam being started with -silent shows the window of "Loading user data...", whereas before it would always be totally in the background without any window (useful for using during PC start-up). It then minimizes to the background, like before, but I think the old behavior of not showing any window should be restored, as that was desirable.
