Steam Overlay Browser / In-game(dota 2) Player Profile Link
Description
There is a mouse click handling issue when transitioning from Dota 2 to the Steam Overlay on Apple Silicon Macs (M1).
When clicking on a player's Steam Profile link from inside their Dota 2 in-game profile, the overlay browser opens normally. However, after this action, ANY subsequent left-click inside the Steam Overlay browser (including clicking on tabs, blank spaces, or the close 'X' button) triggers an unintended "open in new tab" action and spams duplicate tabs endlessly.
Steps to Reproduce
Launch Dota 2 on macOS (Apple Silicon M1).
Open any player's in-game profile.
Click on their Steam Profile icon/link.
The Steam Overlay browser opens showing their profile URL.
Click anywhere inside the overlay browser window (e.g., attempt to close a tab or click the 'X' button).
Expected Result
The browser performs the clicked action normally (closes a tab, switches focus, or exits).
Actual Result
Every single left-click opens a new duplicate tab of the player's profile indefinitely, making it impossible to close or interact with the browser using mouse clicks.
Additional Information
OS: macOS (Apple Silicon M1 air)
Client Versions: Latest Dota 2 and Steam Client versions as of July 30, 2026.
Workaround: Closing the Steam Overlay completely via keyboard hotkey (Shift + Tab) and reopening it resets the stuck click event state until a profile link is clicked again inside Dota 2.
