When using Steam link remote desktop on Linux with KDE Plasma Wayland big picture UI is broken with the side menu

I am using VAAPI h264 encode but this happens with software encoding aswell

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Be on KDE Plasma wayland session
2. Be on Latest steam beta
3. Go into steam big picture
4. Open the side bar menu on the left
5. Notice it is capturing the screen wrong

Logs i noticed with steam big picture gamescope when enabling the side bar menu on the left
