Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Hi, I am having a weird problem for the longest time. every time I open someones profile in cs2 game, my steam overlay freezes, I can still see what is happening in the game, but I cant get out of the overlay and I cant click on anything inside the overlay, so I cant send friend requests or check someones profile.I have to alt+f4 and turn the game on again to continue playing the the match. I cant play on x11 because my 4:3 resolution wont work (trust me I tried for the longest time with claude and chatgpt and I couldnt get it to work) but the overlay works perfectly fine on x11, but I dont want to give up 4:3 resolution which works perfectly only on wayland, I just cant play with 16:9... Please, I know I am probably asking for too much but would you be able to help me? It bothers me so much. Thank you for your reply in advance have a good one :).

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. turned off gpu acceleration
  2. switched to x11, fixes overlay bud 4:3 stretch dont work.
  3. updating steam,linux,cs2
  4. tried adding custom 4:3 resolution trough terminal when on x11, and 4:3 still didnt work
  5. added som random code to terminal trough chatgpt xdd

@d0rko You can use gamescope. This worked for me. Change the arguments to your resolution.

gamescope -f -S stretch -W 5120 -H 1440 -w 5120 -h 1440 -- %command%

Maybe you need to use the Windows/Proton build or set the video driver to X11.
