Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Running steam in any way (through icon/CLI/ETC) will start loading the app, and partway through the update, it hangs (as in logging stops, it stops downloading the update, and I have to kill the process).

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open Steam. That's it. I'm not sure if it's a CachyOS thing or a steam bug.

I've had exactly the same issue for at least a month.

Have tried deleting all Steam files and doing a clean reinstall.

Nothing extracted yet.
