noted & will tweak template for next thread, re-wrote above to be a lot shorter whilst keeping my thoughts on solutions
being a developer & certified software tester myself i understand your response & went a bit overboard on context

SteamOS Feature Request
Feature
Filter uninstalled games from the Home screen “Recent Games” section.
Problem
The SteamOS Home screen “Recent Games” section currently includes games that have been uninstalled.
This makes the section less useful because it can show games that are no longer available to launch locally.
Proposed solution
Add an option to make the “Recent Games” section account for installation status.
For example:
Settings → Home → Recent Games
Expected behaviour
When Show installed games only is enabled, the Home screen should only display recently played games that are currently installed on the device.
Uninstalled games should remain available in the Library and play history, but should not appear in the Home screen recent-games list.
Current workaround
There is currently no convenient way to filter uninstalled games from this section.
Benefit
This would make the Home screen more relevant and useful, particularly for users who regularly install and uninstall games due to limited storage.
