After closing the steam client on linux, my status still appear as "online" for friends on windows client (despite I closing the client). On the windows side, my status only updates to offline once the client is closed and open again. I don't know if the problem happens between linux / linux, but I can confirm that doesn't happen between windows / windows.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Have PC 1 with Windows client and PC 2 with Linux client in your friend's list.
Close the client on PC 2, then you'll see on PC 1 friend's list that PC 2 is still online.
Restart the client on PC 1 and now it'll correctly display PC 2 as offline in the friend's list.
