During play, either local bot matches or online, the game, or at least the video, seems to stutter. It feels like the video (or something somewhere) hangs for a couple milliseconds and then goes back to normal.

Monitoring with netgraph shows stable FPS, and otherwise everything seems OK. I've tried several versions of FGLRX up to and including the 13.2 beta with no change.

When I get home from work, I'll see of I can duplicate the issue on my desktop (FX 6-core / Radeon 4770 ) and maybe narrow it down a bit.

Dump of Steam's system info tool,

TL;DR, I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit on an AMD A8-3500M/Radeon 6620G.:

Is possible it could be caused by mouse movement or it is rather graphical issue?
Try disabling VSync in game as well as in graphics settings in system.

MMajkl578 2013-02-07 github

Seems to be similar to #1375.

Iimmerohnegott 2013-02-08 github

@ZeXx86 -
VSync was/is set Always Off in catalyst (had to, as Compiz has issues otherwise), as well as disabled in CS:S.

@Majkl578 -
It just might be. Like I said, I have VSync forced off on my laptop, so I don't know about the input lag referenced in that bug. I'll try that later today.

ZZeXx86 2013-02-08 github

Any chance to disable compiz? Or can you try to enable Unredirect Fullscreen Windows option with compiz settings manager (ccsm) in Composition?

Iimmerohnegott 2013-02-08 github

Tried running from Unity 2D as well as Fluxbox, no change. Unredirect Fullscreen is already enabled.

Iimmerohnegott 2013-02-08 github

Messed around with it some more on my desktop, and this does seem to be related to the other bug, or at least to VSync.

Enabled VSync, my problem goes away - except performance is horrendous with VSync enabled.

Disable VSync: game just feels choppy and weird, but with good FPS.

I found probably same issue with nVidia cards in very high settings - e.g. 8x antialiasing. Even I have 150FPS game is running not so smooth. In each slow mouse movement you can clearly see it stutters.

ZZeXx86 2013-02-14 github

For me VSync fixed stuttering too, but game input delay is noticeable higher.
So this is not probably issue of graphics drivers, since it is same with nvidia and ati/amd.
