Already tried to reinstall steam, reinstalling css and verifying game cache.
Not sure whether it is because I live in Germany but I can not get it fixed :/

Did you opt-in into the beta? Right click CSS, properties, go to Beta tab

Mmaxammann 2013-02-08 github

@Punisher01 hm there is no beta tab in the properites, but I signed up to "Steam Beta Update" in my steam settings.

Mmaxammann 2013-02-08 github

There is just a beta tab in the properties of Counter Strike(Beta)

Bbdeen-valve maintainer 2013-02-08 github

You should opt into the "Steam Beta Update". The Beta tab on the game itself is something different...you shouldn't need that.
When you signed up to the "Steam Beta Update" did it ask you to update your client? Worth checking.

Finally, can you get me the data we ask for on https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux#reporting-issues ?

Mmaxammann 2013-02-08 github

@bdeen-valve so the "Steam Beta Update" was selected by default so I think the data was already downloaded and I added the system info above.

Mmaxammann 2013-02-09 github

btw the other games work, like Team Fortress, Killing Floor or CS 1.6.

Mmaxammann 2013-02-09 github

@bruced-valve So is there anything I can do?

GGps2010 2013-02-10 github

Have you provided the data bedeen-Valve asked for ?

a detailed description of the issue, including any output from the command line;

Mmaxammann 2013-02-10 github

@Gps2010 seems like it is not a linux problem, many of my friends have similar problems also on windows :/

Bbdeen-valve maintainer 2013-02-11 github

@p000ison - Have you been able to download and run any of the other games? You might try removing yourself from the Linux Steam Beta and re-adding yourself to it. There should be no reason you shouldn't be able to download the game (unless Germany is somehow blocking this...they've supposedly done this in the past).

Mmaxammann 2013-02-11 github

@bdeen-valve yeah the other games work, also css works on windows. I also already tried to re add me to the beta. Seems like it is not because of the linux beta.
