Anyone seeing this on Ubuntu?
No issue for me on Ubuntu 12.04 with classic desktop.
No issues here
Ubuntu 12.04 32bit LTS Unity
Ubuntu 12.10 64bit Unity
I have the same problem, while attacking (pressing the left mouse button) mouse look is stuck.
cl_mousegrab = "0"
LMDE Wheezy/Sid x86_64 - Mate DE + Compiz WM (undirect fullscreen enabled)
No issue here, Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS 64bit, Gnome-shell
To reproduce: cl_mousegrab = "0". Put this setting in userconfig.cfg. Default is cl_mousegrab = "1". So the choice is between a responsive left-mouse button but unable to move it while firing or bad responsive left-mouse button but able to move mouse while firing.
@gamegard68 For me it doesn't work no matter if cl_mousegrab is 0 or 1.
When using LMDE Wheezy/Sid x86_64 together with Cinnamon DE + Muffin WM, the mouse is very responsive and able to move while firing with the default setting of cl_mousegrab = "1". So it looks like an issue with Compiz not playing well with Half Life 1.
just switched to the non-beta steam client, and checked out hl1, with the the non beta hl1 this mouse look issue still remains, but with the beta of hl1 i can now mouse look while firing :)
I have the same problem with Condition Zero, but not with CS 1.6
Condition Zero Team Mission Mode, but normal multiplayer works great.
Hello, is anyone still experiencing this issue with an up to date system?
just reinstalled and played a few minutes, seems ok, mouse looking and firing ok. this with the non beta selected in the game properties in steam client.
Thanks for retesting @dizietsma, closing.
Nothing extracted yet.
Maybe i'm missing something but in HL 1 while i'm shooting i can't mouse look, moving the mouse has no effect, not so bad for single shot kills but using the mp5 in long bursts is no good if the enemy so much as takes a step to the side :)
