Hi.

My system is:
Ubuntu 12.10, Intel Core i5 (SB), Intel HD 3000.

Few weeks ago I didn't have these issues, it worked fine. But now it crashes when I'm switching between TF2 and some other window in Unity (Compize). Not always, but often. Sometimes it kills Compiz.
Here is some output from Steam client:

/tmp/dumps/crash_20121220202556_1.dmp
success = yes
response:  CrashID=bp-cafb2117-af50-457c-9dd5-fd7ad2121220
/home/troorl/Steam/SteamApps/troorl/Team Fortress 2/hl2.sh: line 72:  9125 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) ${GAME_DEBUGGER} "${GAMEROOT}"/${GAMEEXE} "$@"
Game removed: AppID 440 "Team Fortress 2", ProcID 9125
saving roaming config store to 'sharedconfig.vdf'

And here is that dump file https://dl.dropbox.com/u/190203/crash_20121220202556_1.dmp

This is crashing in the Intel driver...

This looks like it's TF2 Beta? If so, that hasn't been updated in quite a while...

It's TF2, not TF2 beta. It all started after the last update, as far as I know.

For what it's worth, the same thing happens in KWin. However, disabling compositing in KWin keeps it from crashing. It still does the annoying minimize thing when you have dual monitors, which I should be able to fix with one of KWin's rules.

Closing old non-Valve issue (can still be found in search).
