If you pause the game while the tram woman is talking, when you resume the game the voice will not continue until it gets to the next sound file. This means you won't hear all she has to say. This also affects the hologram woman in the training room.
I can reproduce this by pausing the game and waiting for a little bit, then unpausing. If the game is paused for a short period of time (less then a few seconds), then the sound file is much more likely to pick up where it was.
I am using Pulse Audio.
BTW, thank you so much for porting this game to linux. It is so great to play Half-Life on my laptop.
