In Apprehension you move up with a lift and meet a security guard. He tells you that he has a message for you... "make sure you don't... aaah" He screams and dies.

Right when he screams the sound gets in a loop, is repeated two to three times and then I am kicked back on my desktop and Half-Life is closed.

This looks like a crash due to the move to blue shift provided HD models, from the originally shipped HL ones.

Unfortunately I can't change the models. The options checkbox where I can activate/deactivate the HD models is always returning to checked state although I see the old scientists models in game.
