Unable to perform steam cloud sync

It seems since the past few days Steam cloud sync stopped working for me and I've been unable to sync my game saves, uploading screenshots doesn't work at all, launching games waits forever at the "preparing to launch ..", shutting down steam takes much longer.

I did a netstat during all these events, I saw steam always stuck forever at SYN_SENT stage when it tried to connect to 65.113.241.45:27014. I can ping the ip fine though..

I have the same problem, it seems that the Linux client has damaged the sync files for my steam account,

after i had this failure (on linux) the steam cloud function has stopped working on windows as well, it seems what have happend that this damaged my steam account somehow, also i cannot upload any screenshot anymore.

i have also submitted a steam support ticket for this problem.

This appears to be a general problem with the cloud networking and not related to Linux. This forum thread covers it.
