The game does not run after configuring the launcher. No matter what resoloution. windowed or full screen. All effects turned off, nothing. No crash information is generated, it just silently dies when attempting to open from the Steam library or terminal.

I also have the lib32-nvidia-utils installed as well. I've recently ran FTL, Spaz, Dungeons of Dredmore, so i think there must be something missing even though i veririfed the integrity of the game cache.

You should follow up with the game developer and see what they suggest.

I have the same issue.

The game needs two packages:
lib32-libdrm lib32-libglapi

I have those 2 files installed, still no go. Thanks for the response though.

Another dependency is lib32-openal. But even with that I was having this same problem.

Looking into it I found that the executable was missing libwrap.so.0, but the only package that provided that I could find was: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tcp_wrappers

But it only provided the 64 binaries. I managed to modify the PKGBUILD to compile 32-bits binaries and uploaded it here: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/lib32-tcp_wrappers-lib

With this the game finally starts, but I can only start it by running .local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Trine\ 2/trine2.sh , for some reason it still doesn't start from the steam interface.

Thank you gabrielrcp. That fixed it right up. Game is working great now!

Just following up, a recent update to the game made lib32-tcp_wrappers-lib unnecessary. I removed this package from my system and the game is still working, I can now even launch it from inside steam normally.

I think you can close this issue now.
