I did this but the game is still running slow. When you jump you come to a complete stop for a second as well.
set "gl_vsync 0; fps_max 60" and see if that fixes the jumping issue.
yep that did it thanks. I think windows users are having this issue as well. going to spread the word.
The Beta updates have fixed the frame rate issues. The content location is a steam issue, to fix that delete and reinstall the game.

Steam users first have to delete local cs 1.6 content, then reinstall for the new content to be applied. It downloads the update normally, but if you don't delete the local content, steam is going to run the old cs.
