Thank goodness I'm not the only one this is driving me batty!
Half Life 1 "preparing to launch Half Life" Hangs in top left corner and as stated will not clear and all gestures get applied to anything behind it (Its an always on top kind of bug) It hangs even after closing Steam, I have to restart my system to clear it, surfing the net... still there, play another game... still there.

After I clicked PLAY in the Half-Life site,
the window with the text "Preparing to launch Half-Life..." is freezing and always in the foreground. I can't click CANCEL, the click get noticed by the window behind it, so the click "goes through" the window.
Half-Life is starting anyway, and is playable.
As far as I noticed this problem only occurs with Half-life.
(Tested TF2 and CS)
