The hangs are likely due to assertion reports being uploaded to our reporting servers. We are making a change so that uploading assertion reports doesn't cause Steam to hang.
Looking at the last failure report, your Steam client couldn't connect to our content servers. What sort of network conditions are you running in? It also may be that our content servers were being restarted at the time of that assert.
I have a wireless router in my home. I mostly get a no connection after I come back from a suspended state. Usually there are no network problems.
Hello @imranoftherings, if you are still experiencing this issue, please open a new issue report.
Nothing extracted yet.
after I make a purchase, i.e. on the confirmation screen once I click purchase, steam changes the button to working and then just hangs. The purchase is successful though as I receive an email saying the purchase is successful.
I have noticed it for the 2 purchases I have made using the linux client. I have the dump report saved, but I don't see an option to attach it.
