Where can i put my custom content , like models , sprays , gui ? I tried cstrike_downloads but it's not loading them in-game . Replacing the original ones will work temporary , but they will get overwrited by integrity checks . Also , using custom models over orignal ones will trigger VAC ?

Aaaand will Steam Cloud feature going to be added to CS 1.6 ?

Try in cstrike_addon folder! If not exits create it! :)

Priority (descending) for the engine.

_addons > _hd > gamedir > _downloads

That's why they has not been changed. :)

  • _addons: only add content you really want to keep
  • _hd: leave it
  • gamedir: leave it, to get a clean 'fresh' install you just need to delete _addons & _downloads
  • _downloads: content you have downloaded from a game server, delete to get a ride of all custom content you have downloaded.

I hope there is just 1 exception. If mp_consistency is set to 1 then load from gamedir first instead of _addons, or make sure you don't get kicked from the server because your models is different from the server ones.
