This is happening every 5 minutes, it appears someone missed manifest off the end of the string :) /home/john/Steam/package/steam_client_publicbeta_ubuntu12.manifest

What were you doing before this started showing up? Any ideas on repro steps?

I installed the client update, restarted and it started producing this error; did nothing else to trigger it. After a client restart this morning it is no longer producing this error, but it hasn’t removed that file either.

This happened again after the beta client update got autodownloaded over night,
