Do you have an optimus setup? Also, if you could provide the information located at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux#reporting-issues we can see a few other bits of information that may help.
Hi there,
updated my initial post as per request. I've tried to launch Team Fortress via terminal to get some output but to no avail.
Are you using a netbook or are you using an optimus setup.
Sorry, thought it's clear from the above. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite L650 C13 laptop.
Just noticed the same for Counter-Strike: Source. Assuming it's something with HL2.
Could you post the output of glxinfo into a gist and link it here?
Here's the output:
Forgot to mention that on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 bit on the same laptop it works. CS:S, HL2, even TF2, so it's solely related to Linux.
@Inoki This should be fixed with mesa 9.2.5 and mesa 10.0.0, please update and retest. Also, make sure you have the 32 bit s2tc package installed, which is needed for Source-based games.
Closing as the user has turned into a ghost and per the last comment.
