This looks like a game or driver issue. It works on my workstation (Ubuntu 12.04 / nVidia graphics).

I notice you are running on w/Intel graphics and your output says:

"terminate called after throwing an instance of 'Eugen::EGraphicInit'"

I'll try it on an updated Intel graphics laptop.

What sort of Intel graphics do you have? It works for me on Intel HD 4000 system, with up to date software on Ubuntu 12.04.

Make sure you're running with STEAM_RUNTIME=1 (try running Steam from command line and look for "STEAM_RUNTIME enabled" text in the output.

I run with "STEAM_RUNTIME enabled" always.

Now I run wargame with strace and find:
open("libtxc_dxtn.so", O_RDONLY|O_CLOEXEC) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

After install it lib game started.
