I have noticed that steam creates a dock icon, which would be fine: if it worked.
*** What it should do ***
When I close the Steam window, it should leave the taskbar and continue running in the background, and when I click the dock icon, the Steam window should re-appear in the current desktop (and current activity, of course).
*** What it really does ***
When I close the Steam window (with the cross button), it GETS MINIMIZED.
It then stays in the taskbar, taking up precious space. As a matter of fact, it is visible in all plasma activities at once, which I have not seen in any other application.
Left-clicking the dock icon DOES NOTHING, the window stays minimized. It should un-minimize and appear in the active desktop.
I am running the latest Steam in Kubuntu 12.04.
