I'd really love to see an option to start Steam on system startup, but minimized, so I wouldn't get these annoying gray connecting dialogs, and then it would stay minimized until needed.

I understand it may be desired to open on startup if some kids use their machine only to play; however, many people including me have it running only to finish downloads, and play only occasionally.
