As the title says: Steam does not work with scim-bridge [and possibly - also plain scim, but I did not test that].

While the input focus is on Steam, it won't let me change the input method. If I change the input method before focusing on steam, the changed method stays, but steam completely ignores it and all the input remains "normal". Also, whenever the input focus is on steam, my scim-bridge panel disappears.
Those are typical symptoms of a program not working with scim-bridge. (had such a thing two other apps before, thus I have a little bit of experience.)

The only workaround I know is to type my special text somewhere outside of steam and then copy the text over. This makes writing special characters and east-asian text in Steam a real pain.

Same behavior with plain scim and ibus.

Hello @Spanguole, are you still experiencing this issue? The version of SDL used with steam should support ibus now.

I do not see any difference in the behavior – ibus is still unusable with steam.

Nothing extracted yet.
