Some titles have a setting VisibleOnlyWhenInstalled to keep them out of the library unless they are installed, there’s no bug here.
I'm sorry that your experience with support wasn't good, but this GitHub is for bug reporting and as johndrinkwater points out the game dropping out of your list is expected.
The Steam Linux forums are active, this GitHub is specifically for Linux bug reports.
@johndrinkwater it shouldn't be listed under linux games, but under all games. The setting you're talking about isn't important as that's my default..
@V10lator afaik, it wouldn’t appear at all in All Games either ‐ to link to a 3rd party site for example, Mare Nostrum (an RO:OST mod) http://steamdb.info/app/1230/ has this flag. It doesn’t appear in the library for users that buy Red Orchestra, even though that grants you access to it, yet steam://install/1230 will allow you to install it into your library.
To get DA2 back, you would need to visit http://store.steampowered.com/app/35420/ and click play game… which wont work in linux client anyhow as its not tagged for our platform.
Forgot to close this before...

This is my original support request:
Ticket number: 8713-RSXC-1118
Now the support told me how to fix this on windows (not helpful as I told them I use Linux from the beginning), then they linked me to the steam4linux forums (where I replied that this isn't helpfull as they have been replaced with this bug tracker, but I primary want support, not reporting a bug) so they told me to use "steam --reset" which didn't help. After all they told I have to look at Killing Floors DLC, where it isn't listed, too, and (as told from the beginning) it was listed as a game, not as DLC before. Last they wanted me to make a picture from the CD-Key together with the ticket number, like this: https://support.steampowered.com/downloads/ea_cd_key_scan.jpg which of course is impossible as I won't write with a pen onto my screen and everything other could be manipulated easily. Now they refuse to give support cause I can't give that picture!
So hopefully the valve guys here can help + tell their support guys how to handle tickets the right way. Sorry for the rage, but it feels like they are telling me I try to pirate a free2play game...
