With a lot of games, using Bumblebee 3.2 and Ubuntu 13.04 causes games to crash if the community is enabled in game and running with optirun. If the community is disabled, it works fine.

The nVidia graphics is geForce GT520mx with the latest bumblebee nvidia driver. The PPA that I use to get bumblebee is ppa:bumblebee/stable.

This most notable happens with Counter-Strike:Source, where the game starts and then closes within a second, with the screen flashing black. It also happens with Crusader Kings 2, where the background map doesn't load or the language menu selector doesn't respond.

To reproduce, I just have to turn community on in game through the settings and start either Counter-Strike:Source or Crusader Kings 2 with optirun, either by setting the launch options with optirun %command% or start steam with optirun.

This sounds similar to a previous crash where optirun was basically not compatible with the overlay. The recommendation was to use primusrun instead of optirun.

That was the problem. I installed primus from the bumblebee PPA and it was all good. Thanks for the info!
