Can you provide more information on what you were doing prior to that, whether anything updated, whether you have multiple Steam installs or are using your Steam login on multiple machines, etc?
No, I using steam on one machine for last 3 weeks, no updates at all, single steam install. Suddenly, after today's update (?), everything back to normal.
OK, closing for now. If this happens again we can reopen and see if there's some common thread.
I've had this issue randomly on Windows and restarting Steam normally resolves it. I haven't been able to figure out a cause, unless there's a race condition somewhere.
