I keep getting this issue after playing for a few minutes. Last time this happened the client itself closed but the game was still open until it crashed too.

Would you be able to upload these /tmp/dumps/ files? It’s likely that assertation has some more details.

They're not here anymore. I'll try to see if this happens again, if it does then I'll upload the files.

I'm having the same problem. I've yet to experience the game crashing though, and I can usually still play on the server I'm logged onto for a while, though I'm not able to use voice chat. I've only tried and experienced this with Garry's mod. I'll try and catch some errors next time it happens.

MMcAndze 2013-06-17 github

I've noticed that this randomly happens when a round ends in Garry's mod (TTT). I'll try CS:S and see if it has the same problem. @amarildojr is this only happening with some specific games?

Here are the dumps from a Steam-crash during Garry's mod:

Running integrated graphics due to Bumblebee problems, but I do have a discrete GPU as well. nVidia Gefore 610M, but I guess that's not really important.

MMcAndze 2013-06-17 github

Definitely only happens when running a game (or at least is much more frequent). Have yet to determine whether it's specific games.

"amarildojr is this only happening with some specific games?"

No. For what I could see it happens on HL2-DM as well, CS 1.6 and TF2

MMcAndze 2013-06-18 github

Do you have any non-Source/GoldSrc games, perhaps? Just to figure out whether it's due to the engine, even though it seems unlikely. I'll see if any of my non-Valve games work on Steam and try it as well.

MMcAndze 2013-06-18 github

I can't seem to reproduce this with anything but Garry's Mod, so this may be a separate game-specific issue.

?ghost 2013-06-25 github

Good, now seems that Valve knows about it :)

If you need the dumps they are posted in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/2613
