Mesa had some issues a while back but they are fixed now as far as I know, just mentioning it for reference.
They are not fixed as far as I know. With a freshly checked out mesa (1e003b44e83dde), the problem still exists. In fact I cannot even start Steam, because after it updated itself, it required me to log in, and once entering the code of steamguard, I get this dialog:
The only thing I could figure out is that clicking in the middle makes it disappear.
OK, now I tried with llvmpipe (LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1), and the dialog turns out to be this: "Please enter a name at least 6 characters long for this computer". The bug seems to be in r600g.
Thanks, I've switched this to a driver issue.
Fixed with commit
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/?id=3b38701a72fa1cad1e4610a2f4330b3da4cc6391
I don't know if this issue can be closed, as the fixed version hasn't been released yet.
We should wait to close this issue until a versioned release contains that commit (should roughly correspond to the mesa 10 release).
Fixed in xf86-video-ati-7.3.0
Thanks, closing.
Nothing extracted yet.
Like this one (it's an old screenshot, the dialog says the game is not available on this platform)
![dotainstall]()
An other example is the "you have a new friend, do you want to see the friend list?" dialog, which I don't have a screenshot of.
I use debian 64 bit, driver versions: xserver-xorg-video-radeon 6.14.4-8, mesa 9.2.0-devel (git-0d7f087)
