Sometimes (unsure what causes this), all the Steam controls will become misaligned and activate at a different location than where they appear to be.

In the below screenshot, the 'Steam' menu was activated somewhere to the below right of it:
steam1

Similarily, in the below screenshot, the 'LIBRARY' menu was activated also towards the bottom right:
steam2

Each time this occurs, it is always activated somewhere to the bottom right of the position on screen. Persists after minimising Steam then reactivating it and also persists after moving the Steam window.

Using Steam on Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit.

This has been happening to me lately. Steam game overlay has the mouse correctly mapped, but the steam client is very glitchy here. You have to aim your mouse far below an option to select it.

There's a very old issue that's still open which is the same thing but I couldn't find it.

@gdrewb-valve are you thinking of #2465 or should I hunt more for your lost issue report?

I was thinking of an even older report (which I couldn't find in #2465 either). Don't worry about finding it, it's OK if we have a few duplicates.

Hello @minerz029, @mmstick, are either of you still experiencing this issue on an up to date system?

Although I'm not using Ubuntu but Windows instead I'm also sometimes having the problem, that the menus on steam are moved to the right and thus cannot be used anymore until I restart steam or the steam window is moved. This only appears to be a bug for the "tabs" of the client, the main menu is not affected. See this screenshot for a reference:

Windows 10 Insider Build (currently on 16362 but issue appeared also on ealier builds). Steam is up to date. One thing which could probably help: I first noticed that issue when I got a 4K screen. When I play games, I disable all other monitors but my main monitor, which is said 4k screen. Maybe steam has some issue with this? For controlling my screens I use Display Fusion
