Since the Dec 3rd Steam update, launching certain games leaves behind an artifact of the "Preparing to launch..." window that stays on screen, but is completely immovable and un-interactive. It's as if the OS doesn't know there's a window there, but the image is stuck on screen blocking whatever's behind it.
