I'm just writing a small feature request here for all platforms, didn't know where to go. A few friends and I love using our laptops for gaming, and a battery monitor/warning notification on the Steam Overlay/Big Picture would come in handy when we get distracted or focused on our game. SDL2 has functionality for this already, so it shouldn't be too hard to add (I hope).
