Hi,

I am using Steam with Fedora 18 (gnome 3 version).
While playing DOTA 2 I am unable to write any text using the Steam overlay (chat or typing an url in the steam web browser).

I have the same occurence. I have it when i am in Half-life and Day of defeat.
I can remove text (backspace or delete) but cannot write or type new text.
I can move the cursor through existing text, with the cursor buttons (in the
url in the overlay web browser).

I am on Fedora 18,
Gnome 3.6.3,
Nvidia driver 331.20

Same problem for me, Fedora 20, NVidia Driver 331.49 (bumblebee), KDE SC.

Problem is solved for me. Now on Fedora 19. Nvidia driver (331.49).
Don't know if this is the solution, but installed the steam-noruntime package from rpmfusion repository this time.

Still happens when i use DotA 2 with Vulkan, on OpenGL i can write but without Polish characters :(

@kisak-valve Working properly on Fedora 26 (dota 2 vulkan).

I however have wierd behavior with my numpad where it randomly

paste my clipboard data
erase what was written in the chat
write at the start of the chat instead of the current position

Nothing really blocking tho.
