Half Life 1 - NPCs get stuck randomly when following player

This bug goes back many years. When following the player, often at random and at fairly frequently, scientists or security guards will say things like "I'm going to stay here and wait for my colleagues" or "I refuse to move another step" or "I'll wait here" and the player must reengage them for them to follow again. This is a game bug in general, and yes I remember booting into Windows 7 and XP years back on older PCs as well as my current one and seeing the same bug. Hi @mcl21014, we’re collecting new bugs from the Linux port at the halflife tracker here https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife/issues however Valve have said game behaviours like this are unlikely to be resolved.
