Steam Crash on new window is open

almost every window open while the mouse is over, steam crash closing all windows. here is my terminal output:

Could you supply some system information please. Has steam ever worked for you? Did your system update?
Would you be able to upload the files from /tmp/dumps/crash_201401*dmp to a filehost and link them here?

My notebook was purchased recently, and Ubuntu 13.10 x64 was also recently installed. There has always been this problem in this notebook.
Notebook: Samsung NP275E4E-KD2BR
CPU: AMD E1-1500
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7310 Graphics (Running proprietary driver).

before I had another PC that was running Steam normally on Ubuntu 13.04 x64

The crash report doesn't have enough info to find the issue, so we'll need to try and repro here, which usually takes a very long time.

You might try changing your video drivers, as problems where Steam crashes frequently during normal usage are often triggered by OpenGL problems.

ok, thanks for the help.
there is an option in Ubuntu for beta driver from AMD, currently I use the stable version of the driver. Think I should move to beta?

If you feel like it. The video driver thing is just a guess based on no concrete info and may not have anything to do with your issue, so it'd be something for when you have some time to experiment.

Hello @gilsonmandalogo, if you're still having this issue on an up to date system, we'll need to start over in investigating the issue. Closing as this is speculatively a video driver issue from 2014, which is no longer relevant.
