Okay... After doing an rm -rf on my Steam library everything seems to work again. So somehow my Steam library got messed up. But I don't know if I should close this, because IMO it should be fixed. Somehow...
Hello @xudonax, there doesn't look to be anything actionable here since steam's folder was deleted without a hint as to what went wrong. We'd need to re-investigate from scratch if this comes up again so I'm going to close this issue report.

I'm running Steam on Fedora 19, 64 bit and completely updated as of yesterday (28 february 2014). Yesterday evening I could normally run Steam, nothing seemed wrong. Today Steam has been crashing a LOT.
I had some random freezes and stuff so I decided to delete the Steam binaries from my system (rm -rf ~/.steam ~/.local/share/Steam) and let the client redownload everything. That didn't do anything either.
I still have the dump that Steam created. Can I upload this somewhere?
