[3rd party game][ubuntu 13.10][linux]not supporting linux at all, but labelled linux support, how to solve such issue.

the game dwarfs F2P
http://store.steampowered.com/app/213650/

does not support linux, i tested with ubuntu 13.10 64bit.

and i go to their developer website,
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=120

i found, since autumn of 2013, Dwarfs F2P, this game already got linux running/starting issue. but the developer of this game, obviously ignored the support for linux ver.
now it's been almost 6 months passed, linux ver. of the game, still cannot run on linux normally.

if the game not supporting linux at all, why steam labels it as linux available?

i waste so much time to download it, and test it. and report the bug to different web sites. waiting for the linux issue fix.

well, if the developer of the games on steam, they ignore linux version support, making the game not supporting linux, then how to solve this, where to complain such issue?

i mean, if the developers of the games on steam, they obviously gave up the support for linux ver. then, where to complain such issue, how to get help?

could you help me? they stopped the support for linux version, and labeled the game as linux available, this is CHEATING/FRAUD.

could you help me, thanks.

First, it's neither cheating nor fraud. The game has worked in the past and, if there's any issue, it's with the developer and an update they've rolled out (a quick glance at their Steam forum and their developer forum confirms this).

Second, they're actually trying to figure out why this isn't working, but they have other games they've developed.

Third, have you checked here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/35480/discussions/0/864959336636127808/
or here:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/35480/discussions/0/864959336414071460/ and checked to see if either of those offers a solution?

oh, thank you for your help.

looks like the issue is much more bigger than what i thought.

  1. official website, tripwireinteractive.com, it guides users to their tripwireinteractive forum. but that forum offers nothing useful for recent ubuntu linux. it also guides users to http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1127
this is the old steam community forum, and nothing updated.
  2. looks like steam community discussion is much more useful than official website of tripwireinteractive. but that is funny~ official website should be the best info source, that would be reasonable.
  3. i play the game, not that the game playing me. from the community post you offered, looks like, linux running issue of this game, it existed even on the old days of Feb. 2013, now it is April of 2014, 14 months of time wasting, cannot exchange the fix of linux lib deps issue? what the xxxx were the game dev team doing there? why steam do nothing to them?
  4. this is the biggest joke that i have ever seen in my life, around a commercial game. how ridiculous. really.
  5. i'd try my best to configure my ubuntu. if i can't run the game finally, that's my bad luck. what a ridiculous game developer.

=-=-==-=-=-==-
looks like the game completely designed for 32bit linux. no support for 64bit. i replaced my ubuntu libmono 2.0, libsdl1.2debian, libsdl-mixer1.2, changed them to 32bit i386 version. then no ****.so deps error, but the game program tells me "no sound card"... how come, i can play dota2, l4d2, on ubuntu normally.

then i give up this game.
