Normally when I'm playing Dota 2, sound effects work fine. Sometimes in team fights, with lots of sound effects, they suddenly go quiet, almost no sound effects, but they will return. I'm using alsa-audio and not pulseaudio. This doesn't happen in Dota 2 Windows because I dual-boot and I have played both.
