This issue sounds simular to #6 at first glance, any chance it's related?
No, I use click-to-focus, not any other focus scheme. Also, they close independently of mouse movement, it doesn't matter if I try to select an item in the menu, move the mouse away or just not move it at all.
I just click on the menu, wait between 0.1 to 2 seconds and it closes.

If I click any drop-down menu (like the ones at the top bar or in friend list) the menu shows up but disappears after a brief moment, sometimes it is visible long enough for me to choose an option from the menu and sometimes it disappears before I am able to click anything.
I'm using Arch Linux i686 with Compiz as window manager, no IDE.
NVidia GeForce GTX 260
NVIDIA Driver Version 337.12
This issue is not present in the Openbox window manager, only when using Compiz.
