When I go to run steam, it immediately segfaults and crashes X. This doesn't occur when launching with STEAM_RUNTIME=0. When I launch steam I get:
Running Steam on arch rolling 64-bit
STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
And then X crashes. Debugging X when I launch steam leaves me with:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x00007fcc0e57eea8 in ?? () from /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/radeonsi_dri.so
Earlier attempts to launch have left me with errors about GCC so I'm thinking this might be caused by incompatible versions on my computer. I am running Arch Linux 64 bit with radeon 7870 and the amd open source drivers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
