@NTMan launch steam in a terminal, find the list of subscription numbers in the console spew, then find match from your list of subscriptions to the list of subscriptions that provide the witcher 2 (found at http://steamdb.info/app/20920/subs/) click on the matching subscription and go to the depots tab on that page, look for depot 288910 (which has the linux binaries) and if it is missing, then the game dev needs to be contacted telling them that your subscription number is missing the linux depot.

There is an unofficial bug tracker for Witcher 2 on linux here: https://github.com/KillaW0lf04/The-Witcher-2-Issues/issues?state=open

There are a number of users that posted issues which have already been solved. They will probably be able to provide you more help over there.

Affects me as of today, too.

Hello @NTMan, @nekoexmachina, are either of you still experiencing this issue?

?ghost 2017-12-15 github

This is quite a joke of the responce speed.

I'm quite sure that problem is limited to Russia. I recall playing without issue a year or two ago, but I've moved out from Ru almost 3 years ago.

Thanks, on latest Fedora 27 x86_64 + kernel 4.15 + mesa 17.4 and llvm 6.0 on AMD Vega 56 The Witcher 2 works perfect. Also The Witcher 2 works on Fedora 27 with default kernel + mesa 17.2.4 and llvm 4.0.1 on Intel GPU Haswell but not so good as on AMD Vega 56.
