Steam launcher script not functioning

I installed the Steam .deb, downloaded the client with the frontend, opened Steam for the first time and it worked. I reset my password since I couldn't remember it and once it completed, Steam closed. Now whenever Steam is run, nothing happens.

~/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh doesn't do anything, either.

Running steam with sudo the first time as root printed this:

Repairing installation, linking /home/bui/.steam/steam to /home/bui/.local/share/Steam

But after that, it's still broken.

I'm running Xubuntu 12.10 x86-64.

Same issue for me, I am on Ubuntu 12.10. Ran fine the first time. Tried re-installing, no response when opening steam.

FYI, i did not do a password reset, but I did create my steam ID after installation (If I remember it correctly)

Forgot about this issue. The problem solved itself once I rebooted (didn't bother trying).
