When a new window is created, it goes to the active workspace. I have eleven workspaces, ánd usually start Steam on the "Terminal" workspace, log in, and then go back to "Web" while Steam is working. When Steam is logged in, the window is closed and then reopened, and the new window is created on the "Web" workspace. This is not an issue on Windows, simply because Windows does not have workspaces. On Linux, however, this is a small irritation. Especially with a tiling window manager, as creating a new window on my "Web" workspace will occupy almost 70% of the screen and reduce the web browser to the remaining 30% of the right edge.

This is what it might look like when the new window suddenly pops up on the Web workspace:

It's not a major issue, but I think it should be considered. Running Arch Linux 64-bit, window manager is Xmonad.
